I have tried so many sport, like badminton, basketball, jogging. I love jogging and swimming the most.
During my childhood, my father used to bring us, me and my sibling to play water in my aunt condominium swimming pool, but my parent never send us to learn swimming. I always wanted to learn swimming in my heart, but as age pass through, the thought started to shrink in my heart. people always say swimming have to be learn in childhood, because it is easier…
In my teen, if i am not mistaken is 14/15 year old, i had miss the swimming pool for many many year.On one day, I past through the swimming pool in A&W when i cycling alone with my red-old bike to travel in the town, I saw many people are inside the swimming pool. I wonder why other people can swim while i cannot. i peek into the swimming pool to see people swimming, how cool they are.
"hey, ape u buat kat sini?" i heard a shout, i start to panic, when i look back, i see an indian guard who is very tall(maybe he is not that tall, just i am still a kid at that time)
"saja-saja tengok" I replied in BM.
"sini tak ada apa-apa boleh tengok, keluar keluar!" the guard start to evict me..
on that time i really scare, in my heart i thought one must pay many money to swim in that swimming pool, or else why the guard evict me like that? after about 3-4 year i just know the price is only Rm 1.50 for that time for adult admission, RM 0.50 for a children under 12. the present admission fee is RM 2 for adult and RM 1 for children, of course i know this after i have learn swimming^_^
I play basketball, jogging, but none of this can be performed any better after my foot get injured on my jogging, ever since this i cannot perform well on sport that have to run. It is a permanent injure, because I did not take good care on healing it, it pain until now.
Ok, there is a turning point for this, On my form 5, my best friend, Kar Wai have invite me to a swimming pool in Bukit Beruang. after a short consider, i go with him and some of my friend. At there, many of my friend just dive into the water and swim, i tried to follow them. but once i jump into the water, i struggle, i really cannot swim, my best friend Kar Wai saw i was struggling, without any delay he come to save me…. He save my life! I owe him once. At that day, I merely play water for the rest of the time. At the same time, I already determine to learn swimming in my heart, i don’t want the same thing to happen again.
Kar Wai is really helping in this manner, he start to consult to me on how to swim. I went to buy all the google and swimming trunk, i forced my self to learn it!
while he teach me at almost every weekends, i go to train alone every couple day. When no body company me, i observe in the swimming pool on how other swim, i try them, i work them out, after some session, i learn breaststroke first, then freestyle.That is when i am 17-year-old, form 5.
I like swimming much more and much more, now I even have 3 people learn swimming from me, 2 have succeed and one still learning.
I really have to thanks Kar Wai to bring me such a chance to learn swimming and get know swimming, Fei yee as learning swimming with me under instruction of karwai, My parent for sending me to swimming pool when i go alone, My purse to fork out money to buy goggle and trunk.
And now, i am already in University Malaya. I even join our residential college swimming team. But, too bad i still swim not fast, not fast enough to compete with those national swimmer, state swimmer, lolz

I want to tell everyone, learning swimming is not privileges for children only! If you don’t know how to swim, just go ahead and learn it! don’t care about your present ages.
Swimming do not make my foot pain, that is another reason for my liking in swimming^_^
P/S: one of my friend that have learn swimming from me is 25 when he learn swimming, isn’t it encouraging?
